«UPTAKE gathers young jazz musicians from the french scene: Robinson Khoury (International Award Jazz trombone), Paul BERNE (Royal Conservatory of Brussels, drummer of Le Grand Escalier orchestra), Pierre Gibbe (bassist of Motown Revival and Le Migou) and Bastien BRISON pianist whose reputation don’t stop to grow (with Ari HOENIG in New York, first album with Sangoma Everett). Their repertoire consists of compositions influenced by the new generation of American artists such as Jason Lindner, Aaron Parks, Kneebody… The interplay, the melodic sense and energy characterize their electric jazz influenced by rock, pop and hip-hop.
