Ensembles

ONIRIA is a musical consort specialized in the interpretation of Renaissance and baroque repertoire using reproductions of original instruments created in mid-2009.

They gave their first concert in March 2010 at Santiago del Real Church, Convent of San Francisco (Velez-Malaga, Spain).
Since then they have performed in several Early Music Festivals: FeMÀS – Seville Early Music Festival, Getafe and Soto del Real Early Music Festivals (both in Madrid), Three Cultures Music Cycle in Cordoba, Málaga Early Music Festival, Avila Sacred Music Festival, in the institutional events of the sixth anniversary of the city of Antequera, in the Echegaray Theatre (Málaga), in the Musical Cycles of the Unicaja Foundation in Cádiz, Ronda Sacred Music Cycle, in Siguenza Cathedral and the Church of St. Mary of Brihuega (Guadalajara) in concerts organized by Future Century Foundation, in Malaga´s Philharmonic Society or the cultural acts of Málaga Town Hall with great success with audiences and critics.
In the Spring of 2011 ONIRIA published his first CD “Musical Four-Leaf Clover” (RMS 0032) dedicated to music for sackbuts ensembles contained in the treaties written by Georg Daniel Speer (1636-1707) unpublished to date. Produced by Oniria´s musical director Daniel Anarte, this CD distributed in Europe by “Discmedi Bleu” was presented at the Echegaray Theatre in Malaga in April 2011.
ONIRIA belongs to the Spanish Association of Early Music Groups – GEMA, and has appeared in various media: Spanish National Radio (RNE 2 – Radio Classic), Cadena Cope and the dailies “La voz de Almeria”, “ABC”, “El Pais” or “Diario de Sevilla” where critics highlighted his “coherence of a suitable program”, “stylistic and technical knowledge”, “rhythmic initiative and delicacy and variety articulation” or “how to do just talk to the instruments”.
